Tv show review
Grace and Frankie is a Netflix series that made its debut on May 8th, 2015. Since then the show has become the favorite of many all around the world. The show has been nominated for many awards such as five Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actress – Television Series Musical or Comedy. The show was also produced by Marta Kauffman, best known for F.R.I.E.N.D.S.
The cast of the show is legendary. It consists of Lily Tomlin who plays Frankie, Jane Fonda who plays Grace, Sam Waterson as Sol, and Martin Sheen as Robert. The show is based on two married couples Frankie, who is married to Sol, and Grace, who is married to Robert. In the opening scene of the show, the old friends are all at dinner. It's pretty clear Grace and Frankie don't get along due to being such different people Frankie, is a very free hippie, and Grace, who is a very focused business woman; they come from two different worlds. Robert and Sol, both lawyers at the same firm, decided to tell their wives that they are gay and have been dating for years behind their wives back. Obviously, the wives are in SHOCK. The show follows each person's journey for 7 seasons. I will give 1 spoiler in the end Grace and Frankie become best friends and even live together. I have become obsessed with this show and you can too. Unfortunately, they are in their last and final season. The show causes so many heartaches, laughs, and smiles. If you want to watch something wholesome yet funny, this is the show for you. It will keep you on your toes and may even cause some tears… I know it did for me. I rate this show a 10 out of 10. Simply because it's a very upbeat show and that has become rare with TV now. Go Watch! All seasons and episodes are available on Netflix now.
